Scientific Name: Cinnamomum Camphora
Type of Plant: Tropical/Cycad
Description: Large evergreen tree with bright green leaves that appear glossy and smell like camphor if crushed.
Height: 30’+
 Width: 30'
Blooming: Small white flowers in spring.
Fruit:
 Blackberry-sized fruit.
Climate Requirements: Prefers warm subtropical climate and wet soil until
established.
Care Requirements: Large root system, so leave plenty of room to grow.
Special Needs: None
Special Uses/Attributes: Camphor has been used as a culinary spice, incense and as a medicine.
Florida Native: No
FYI: If you’re a pet owner, plant a camphor tree and it will ward off fleas and other insects. Natural insect repellent!
